Biography

Clara Henry, born on April 9, 1994, in Partille, Sweden, is a Swedish comedian, author, actress, and television and radio host. She gained popularity through her YouTube channel, which had around 395,000 subscribers as of May 2020, and has also hosted her own talk show on Kanal 5 Play. In 2015, she made her literary debut with Ja jag har mens, hurså?, a book about menstruation that has been translated into multiple languages. She was one of the hosts of Melodifestivalen 2017 and launched the podcast Konsten att vara with Gustaf Jernberg in 2018. Raised in Gökskulla near Landvetter, she studied journalism at Ingrid Segerstedt's high school in Gothenburg. She has a younger sister, Kimberly, and a younger brother, Christoffer. Her father is originally from the UK but has lived in Sweden for many years. She is openly pansexual. Henry began her career as a youth reporter for Göteborgs-Posten and started blogging at the age of 12. From 2011 to 2017, she was one of the biggest YouTubers in the Nordic region. She also had a talk show on Kanal 5 Play in 2013 and later hosted Häng med Clara Henry, where she spent a day with her guests rather than conducting studio interviews. She won Vlogger of the Year at the Blog Awards 2013. In 2014, she worked with SVT Play, interviewing contestants and guests during Melodifestivalen, and later became one of the main hosts in 2017. She also hosted the Guldtuben awards, recognizing Sweden’s top YouTubers, and won Vlog Channel of the Year. That same year, she participated in Valfeber, an SVT comedy show about politics. She was a summer host on Sommar i P1 in 2015 and worked with Musikhjälpen, traveling to the Philippines to report on families affected by typhoons. She also hosted radio programs, including Hallå i P3 and Clara Henry i P3. Beyond hosting, she ventured into acting, starring as Ellen in Sjukt oklar, a series released on SVT in 2018. She also appeared in Bäst i test, winning its third season, and had a role in Solsidan in 2019. In 2020, she participated in Robinson, joining mid-season and making it to the final three. The following year, she hosted Vem kan vad on SVT.
