Biography

Oskar Ottovich Lind (June 15, 1904, St. Petersburg – February 6, 1976) was a Soviet actor of Estonian origin. He was an Estonian by origin. His father, Otto Janovich Lind, worked as a foundry technologist at the Lentekstilmash plant. He became a victim of repression: on February 23, 1938, he was arrested by NKVD officers and convicted under Article 58-6-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR ("Counterrevolutionary activity"). On October 3 of the same year, Otto Janovich Lind was shot . In his youth, Oskar Lind showed an interest in acting and decided to devote his life to the theater. Oskar Lind was an actor at the Leningrad Musical Comedy Theater, where he earned recognition for his talent and professionalism. He performed in numerous musicals, operettas, and comedy productions, winning the hearts of audiences with his charismatic performances. In addition to his work in the theater, Oskar Lind also starred in 25 films. His acting talent was demonstrated in cinema, although he most often played supporting roles.
